Kuala Lumpur: Nestle Malaysia Berhad (Nestle) has recalled the imported 100g glass jar of Nescafe's Alta Rica and Alta Rica Decaff soluble coffee as a precautionary measure for consumers.
Nestle, in a statement here Thursday, said the specialty range of jar could easily break during delivery to customers and could therefore, contain small pieces of glass.
Nestle, however, would be changing the packaging format before re-introducing the coffee range to the market, it said.
"The quality and safety of our products is a non-negotiable priority for our company.
We sincerely apologises to our consumers and customers for any inconvenience due to the recall," it said.
Consumers in possession of the products should contact the Nestle Consumer Services Centre at 1-800-88-3433 for further information on exchange of product or refund.- Bernama
